SANTA CRUZ WEIRD and more!

SANTA CRUZ WEIRD is coming! This new anthology brings you 18 short stories set against the weird and wondrous backdrop of Santa Cruz, California. The big launch will be at the Santa Cruz Art Center, on Sunday, September 16th at 6:30 p.m. Many of the authors, including moi, will be reading. There will also be a musical surprise and a possible pop-up restaurant. Stay tuned.

If you’d like a greater understanding of the anthology’s title, I’ll be blogging about it September 18th at misterio press and September 19th at Lois Winston’s site.

In the meantime, I’m still promoting SANTA CRUZ NOIR. Our roadshow will be at Borderlands Books in San Francisco, 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Editor Susie Bright will regale you with humor (mostly black, as fits the occasion). I’ll be there to read along with several other authors included in the collection.

On Thursday, October 18, I’ll have my own SANTA CRUZ NOIR presentation to the Santa Cruz Ukulele Club at Bocci’s Cellar. “Miscalculation,” my story in the anthology, features three nefarious ukulele players and six songs frequently played among Santa Cruz ukulele groups. Susie Bright, the editor, will be on hand to entertain everyone, I’ll read a snippet of my story, and altogether we’ll perform the six songs. Who knows, maybe Susie will bring her Rick Turner Rose Compass C-Tenor that played its way right into the story.
