Book Events–Story and Song, MWA Panel, NorCal SinC Fall Showcase, and more

It’s been a busy fall with no sign of slowing down. Join me for Story & Song, Thursday, Oct. 18th at Bocci’s Cellar in Santa Cruz. I’ll read a snippet of my story in SANTA CRUZ NOIR to the Santa Cruz Ukulele Club. “Miscalculation” features three nefarious ukulele players and six songs frequently played among Santa Cruz ukulele groups. Sandor will lead attendees in playing the songs in the story, which, in context, take on delicious innuendo. Jon Bailiff, another author in the anthology, will be on hand to offer his wit and ukulele skills as well as to sell books. Come on down! The program will kick off as soon as the Santa Cruz Ukulele Club wraps up the business portion of their evening, about 7 p.m. The event is free and open to everyone.

Next up, on Tuesday, October 23rd, as part of Mystery Week, I will join a panel of terrific mystery writers at the Fremont Main Library. Actually, to be more precise, I should say my character Carol Sabala will join some other mystery protagonists at the library. The characters are sure to dish about their crazy creators. Note this is a FREE event, open to the public.

I’ll have another opportunity to promote SANTA CRUZ NOIR at the NorCal Sisters in Crime Fall Showcase on November 3rd, 12-2, at Books, Inc. on Chestnut Street in San Francisco.

February 12, 2019, three other mystery writers and I will present to the AAUW. The event runs from 7-9 p.m. at the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church. More info to follow. March 28-31, 2019, I’ll be at Left Coast Crime in Vancouver, B.C. And finally, April 10, 2019, Raging Granny Jan Harwood and I, along with others, will entertain attendees at the Porter Memorial Library in Soquel, CA to promote SANTA CRUZ WEIRD. I’ll post additional information about these events as they approach. I look forward to seeing fellow mystery writers and readers. Until then, write, write, write, and read, read, read. 🙂
