Kelly’s Books

November was like the anti-NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) for me. Writing and promo halted thanks to the never-ending, interior-door-replacement project. Danny and I also both got sick with colds, probably because of the stress of the project combined with sawdust and paint fumes and smoke from the Campfire Fire. Plus, Lolie injured herself with a bruised or fractured rib. We are, thankfully, all better now.

The door project wears on, but Danny and I have adopted an attitude of “it’ll get done someday” and “we’re lucky to have a house in which to hang doors.”

In the meantime, I’m crawling back into my writing life. I have an event at Kelly’s Books in Watsonville, CA, from 1-3 on December 15, 2018. Along with editor Nancy Lynn Jarvis, I’ll be promoting and selling SANTA CRUZ WEIRD, which includes my short story “Critical Mass.” I’ll also be selling my other books and I’ve heard rumors of cookies and possible readings.

After that, it’s just a hop and a skip until Left Coast Crime. Look for me in Vancouver, BC, March 28-31, 2019. By then, the Sisters in Crime anthology FISHY BUSINESS, containing my story “Room and Board,” should be out.
