LOSTART STREET, a novel of mystery, murder, and moonbeams!

I’ve written something new and different, a cross-genre novel titled Lostart Street.

The year is 1982. Twenty-eight-year-old would-be writer Cecile abandons her life in San Francisco to accept a teaching position in a small California coast town. Forced to move quickly, she rents a unit in a complex meant for the elderly and handicapped. Wounded by a failed relationship and caught in the flurry of first-year teaching, Cecile feels overwhelmed and isolated. But her new neighbors won’t leave her alone. A series of thefts, a romance between two tenants, a fire, and a murder propel Cecile toward a life-changing decision . . . .

I have a number of promotional events coming up. Please mark your calendars:

• Interview at Mysteristas, to be posted on 5/19. This will be the first opportunity to pre-order an electronic copy of the book.
• On 6/3 I’ll be at the Sisters in Crime table at the Bay Area Book Fair. My time slot is 1-2:30, although I’ll be selling my mysteries there rather than the new novel.
• June 5th look for me on Judy Penz Sheluk’s New Release Monday.
• Bruce Bratton and I will chat about Lostart Street on his Universal Grapevine radio program KZSC 88.1 fm on 6/6 at 7 p.m.
• THE BIG LAUNCH DATE: Bookshop Santa Cruz, 6/8 at 7 p.m.
